Allied Health Assistant

Flying Start Children's Therapy

Fiona is studying Occupational Therapy after completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Psychology and Physical Activity and Health) at Deakin University. She has enjoyed a 20-year career in community aged and disability services and is keen to transfer skills and knowledge into the paediatric setting as an Allied Health Assistant with Flying Start Children’s Therapy.

Fiona is passionate about creating safe and fun opportunities for all people to feel connected, engaged, and achieve their goals. Fiona has experience working with clients across the lifespan, their families, and carers to build capacity and a sense of well-being. As a mum and carer, Fiona brings an understanding to her role working with young people and their families and carers.

Outside of work and study, Fiona relaxes by spending time with her family, enjoying all sports, hiking, and volunteering as a tree grower for land regeneration projects and with the local basketball club.
