The Clue Collectors Club
The Clue Collectors Club is a fun, story-driven group program that helps children build problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills through clues, deduction, and detective play in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Led by therapists, sessions focus on inferencing, collaboration, and critical thinking through an engaging, evolving case file. Children are encouraged to ask questions, share theories, and work through disagreement as a team, all while building confidence as investigators and enjoying the social side of solving a mystery together.
Goals include:
-
Inferencing: piece together clues and draw logical conclusions to build a case
-
Perspective taking: consider other characters' and teammates' points of view to understand motives and events
-
Sharing ideas: contribute theories and reasoning within the group
-
Asking questions: practise seeking out information and clarifying details to solve the case
-
Problem-solving: develop deduction and critical thinking skills through a developing storyline
-
Language and communication: explain reasoning, build on others' ideas, and negotiate differing theories
-
Teamwork and collaboration: work together toward a shared goal and navigate differing opinions
-
Flexible thinking: adjust theories as new clues and information come to light
The Clue Collectors Club is all about clues, teamwork, and having fun. Helping children feel confident thinking on their feet and working as a team.
