Festive Fun

Festive Fun is a play-based therapy group that brings children together to connect, create and celebrate the festive season. Using festive themed games, craft and shared activities, children can explore their interests and work towards individual therapeutic goals in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The program offers opportunities to develop communication, social connection, teamwork, fine motor skills and emotional regulation. Whether creating a decoration, playing a group game or completing a shared project, children are supported to share ideas, solve problems, explore different approaches and experience success together.

Festive Fun welcomes children of all ages. Groupings and activities are planned with children’s ages, communication styles and support needs in mind, helping each child participate in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to them. Children can join in at their own pace, with support for different sensory preferences and ways of communicating.

​

Facilitated by therapists, the group combines engaging festive activities with purposeful opportunities to practise skills. Our therapists adapt activities and provide individual scaffolding to support each child’s participation, confidence and connection with others.
