Flying Start Children's Therapy
Georgie is currently registered as a provisional psychologist and is pursuing her Master of Professional Psychology. She is dedicated to supporting children and young people with diverse needs and their families, to overcome obstacles and fulfill their potential. Georgie draws from her experience in public education and as an allied health assistant and is a strong advocate for a multidisciplinary support approach, working closely with allied health teams, schools, families, and caregivers to create a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people to thrive.
Georgie uses neurodiverse-affirming, evidence-based methods and believes that patience, kindness, and empathy are essential for fostering genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationships. She has a special interest in helping children and young people using elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based models.
Georgie’s academic interests include resilience, authentic inclusion in education, and the mind-body connection, especially in young people. Outside of her professional life, Georgie enjoys spending time with her family and pets, running, pretending to know what she’s doing in the garden, and reading.
