Interest Based Groups

Our Interest-Based Groups are designed for neurodivergent children aged 6–13 who thrive when exploring communication and connection through the things they love most—whether that’s Minecraft, LEGO, needlework, crafting, or creative play. These groups offer a welcoming space to connect with like-minded peers, engage in flexible thinking, and explore shared interests in a way that feels meaningful and safe.

We recognise that social learning doesn’t look the same for every child—and that connection happens best when kids feel respected, relaxed, and authentically themselves. That’s why these groups are built around each child’s strengths and passions, supporting natural opportunities to build confidence, explore communication, and form friendships at their own pace.

Each session includes a blend of collaborative games, creative storytelling, and shared activities tailored to the group’s interests. Children are supported in practicing turn-taking, co-regulation, perspective sharing, and problem-solving in ways that honour their unique communication styles.

Whether they’re creating virtual landscapes, inventing new characters, or diving into a Super Mario universe, participants leave with a stronger sense of connection, new tools for interaction—and often a few new friends too.

Minecraft Masterminds
A creative and collaborative group designed to support social development, language, and pragmatic skills through the world of Minecraft. Participants work together to build, problem-solve, and explore virtual landscapes while practicing turn-taking, flexible thinking, and communication.

There will a small element of device use/play during the sessions. Technology will be supplied by the clinic.

LEGO Adventures
This hands-on group uses the power of LEGO to support social connection, teamwork, and communication. Children build and create while developing language, planning, and problem-solving skills in a structured and fun environment.

Super Mario Explorers

A fun and engaging group for young Super Mario fans! Through themed games and activities, participants practice conversational skills, social interaction, and flexible thinking while exploring the Super Mario Worlds together.

Pokémon

Calling all young Pokémon enthusiasts! This playful group offers a chance to connect with others, build social confidence, and stretch thinking skills—all through the magic of Pokémon-themed fun and teamwork.

Creative Connections

A safe, nurturing space where kids can explore their feelings, build confidence, and express themselves through the joy of making. Each session blends hands-on creative activities like painting, collage, needle work, cricut creations, threading, jewelry design and sensory crafts. With gentle guidance from therapists, children are supported to develop emotional awareness, resilience, and social connections. No art skills needed — just a willingness to explore, create, and have fun! Perfect for children who benefit from a calming, supportive environment to grow and thrive.
