Learn To Ride

Our Learn to Ride group supports children in developing the foundational skills needed to start riding a bike safely and confidently. This small-group program combines fun, movement, and 1:1 therapist support to help each child progress at their own pace. Sessions focus on body awareness, coordination, and confidence while building a positive relationship with movement.

Goals include:

  • Develop balance, coordination, and gross motor strength

  • Improve postural control and endurance for sustained riding

  • Build motor planning and sequencing skills for starting, stopping, and steering

  • Support transitions from balance bike to training wheels or two wheels

  • Foster independence, confidence, and enjoyment in physical activity

Children will practise key skills such as mounting and dismounting, pedalling, steering, braking, and navigating small obstacles.
Families are asked to bring a correctly fitted bike and helmet, and adult participation is encouraged to support skill carryover at home.

Please refer to our social channels Instagram and Facebook for the latest group scheduling times.
