Shelby is a paediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting young people and their support networks to ensure a whole team approach to meeting goals and embedding therapy across all environments. Shelby values the importance of supporting children to feel confident, capable and understood above all else. Shelby brings a warm, playful, and practical approach to her work with children and families. Shelby is passionate about neuro-affirming, strengths-based practice and works closely with families and educators to embed meaningful strategies across home, school, and community settings. 

 

Shelby believes in the importance of building trust, striving to create an environment where children feel safe and comfortable to express themselves and collaborate in goal setting. Shelby aims to consistently tailor therapy to incorporate individual interests, needs and strengths to foster engagement (and fun). Shelby has experience supporting children living with Autism (including PDA profiles), Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and Mental Health challenges. Shelby has a particular clinical interest in providing trauma informed care. Outside of work, Shelby enjoys sleeping in, finding a local market and anything animal related.
